Honey Types

Our Lehua Honey comes from the Ohia Lehua tree, which is found nowhere else in the world. It is a special native tree species with beautiful red tasseled flowers and it grows at high island elevations on the rainforest slopes. It has a bright golden color, with a long lasting simple sweet taste. This honey has a traditional, sugary-sweet taste that is most chosen by  those with a sweet tooth.

Our Rainbow Blossom Honey or multi-floral Hawaiian honey, is a rich amber color and comes from the many small island farms. It has both notes that are fruity and flowery in its short sweet rich taste, which comes from the various nectars of Hawaii’s many fruiting species and flowering tropical blossoms. Because of the delightful unique Hawaiian tropical flavor, this honey is perfect multi-purpose honey to send to family overseas.

Our Macadamia Nut Honey comes from Hawaii’s many Macadamia Nut tree farms. This special honey and is generally a thick and dark honey. This honey has a bold, rich, and edgy flavor. Its a strong tasting honey with a taste which is often reminiscent of brown sugar or molasses. It is a perfect ingredient for decadent recipes and often used on desserts. This honey also pairs well with yogurt with fruit or granola.

Our Christmas Berry Honey comes from the Christmas Berry or Brazilian Pepper tree, which was introduced to the Hawaiian Islands and makes a wonderful light honey. This honey is generally a thinner and has a light golden color.  It is not as sweet many other honey on the market but its taste has many complex and subtle overtones. It often has a noticeable light butterscotchy and peppery flavor. This honey is not as thick as other honeys, making it a perfect topping or drizzle that will pair with almost anything.
